Alexander the Great's father brought unification to most of the city states of Greece called the League of Corinth. After becoming the ruler of Macedon, Alexander the Great ended a rebellion in the southern city states of Greece and fought against the northern city states of Greece. Alexander the Great's conquest began east of Greece against the Achaemenid Persian Empire.
